Dixie’s Story 💗 Meet our sweet girl, Dixie. Dixie is 4 years old, full of personality, and has Down syndrome. She is smart, loving, determined, and has taught our family so much about celebrating every little milestone. Dixie attends Harbor Day School, a tuition-free preschool that has become such an important part of her life. When Dixie started school, we knew we wanted her to have every opportunity to learn, grow, and become as independent as possible. Harbor Day School has helped make that possible. Since being at Harbor Day, Dixie has learned SO much! She has grown academically, socially, and emotionally, and we have watched her gain confidence in ways that make us incredibly proud. Her teachers and everyone at Harbor Day have worked with her, encouraged her, celebrated her accomplishments, and helped her reach goals that once seemed so far away. What makes Harbor Day especially meaningful to our family is that they see Dixie for Dixie. They recognize her abilities, encourage her strengths, and give her the support she needs while always believing in what she can accomplish. We are so grateful that Dixie has a place where she can learn, make friends, be herself, and continue reaching new milestones. ❤️ That is why we are excited to participate in this fundraiser. Harbor Day School is tuition-free, but providing the resources, programs, teachers, and opportunities that children like Dixie need still takes support from our community.
